In the "flore de Madagascar et des Comores", the single species treated (Coniogramme madagascariensis) exists also in Réunion but in the checklist of Pteridophyta of Madagascar by F. Rakotondrainibe, this species is endemic to Madagascar. In Roux (2009), this genus is treated as Cryptogrammaceae.
