Olax psittacorum (Lam.) Vahl was included in the Fl. Madagascar treatment based on an incorrectly labeled specimen (Boivin 2617), which was actually from Ile Bourbon. The species does not occur in Madagascar (Rogers et al., 2006: 98). The name O. thouarsiana Baill. has been used for plants from Madagascar, but in fact refers to a Mascarene sp of the genus Turraea (Meliaceae)(Rogers et al., 2006: 98).
