Description
|
Tree, c. 5 m high, DBH 30 cm. Leaves coriaceous, glossy, dark green above, paler green beneath, very pale nerved on both sides. Figs more or less globose, 12 mm in diam., very pale greenish-white with small orange brown dots outside. Eroded mountainous hills, locally the bare sandstone coming to the surface or covered only with a very thin soil-layer. Scattered shrubs and small trees (Euclea dominant, Dodonaea viscosa, Ficus, etc.). Barley and Flax fields on the plateau. Growing in this season rather wet gentle slope among short grasses and other herbs, fully exposed to the sun. Growing at the base of the cliff.
