Notes:
Bremekamp in his study of African Oldenlandia noted that the name Oldenlandia trinervia Retz. is an Asian species, however Hiern used this name for African plants and presented and altered description based on these African plants. The Asian plants are a different species from the African plants; the African plants that Hiern included in his expanded circumscription of Oldenlandia trinervia are more accurately called Oldenlandia goreensis.
