Notes:
This species was described from one fruiting specimen collected by Chapelier "Sur la côte", thus basically without information. It was characterized by small triangular stipules, somewhat small leaves, few-flowered axillary cymes with well developed pedicels (15-20 mm long), rather short calyx lobes (2 mm long), and rather large fruits 10-13 mm in diameter. It thus seems to be very similar to Danais baccata and Danais terminalis. However Buchner & Puff (1993) excluded this species from Danais based on its small, generally cylindrical seeds, rather than flattened, generally orbicular, and marginally thinly winged as in Danais. In general and in the seeds it resembles Danais baccata
