Notes:
CMT: This species is characterized by its medium-sized to somewhat small leaves that are shiny with the venation thinly raised on both surfaces, its several-flowered cymose inflorescences with slender axes and the flowers in short dichasial cymes, its rather small flowers, and its habitat in coastal vegetation in northeastern Madagascar. The leaves are quite variable in size and shape, as shown by the type specimen. In general aspect this species is somewhat similar to Chassalia bojeri, but that species is found at higher elevations and has inflorescences with stouter axes and the flowers sessile in small heads.
