Plants small, slender, somewhat glossy, in loose mats. Stems prostrate, with branches ca. 1.0 cm long. Stem and branch leaves similar, erect-spreading when dry and moist, oblong-lanceolate, 1.2–1.9 mm × 0.6–0.7 mm, constricted at base, gradually acuminate, sometimes twisted at apex; margins serrulate above, entire below; costae slender, slightly excavate; median leaf cells long linear, hyaline, lax, 140–190 µm × 7–9 µm; alar cells few, in 1–3 rows, quadrate or shortly rectangular. Perichaetial leaves sheathing at base, ecostate, slenderly acuminate, reflexed at apex. Setae ca. 20 mm long, reddish, twisted, smooth; capsules nearly globose, slightly inclined, curved above, with a short neck, wide at mouth; peristome unknown. Spores not seen.
