Plants medium-sized, yellowish green to dark green, in loose or dense mats. Stems prostrate, to ca. 3 cm long, pinnately branched; leafy branches complanate. Stem and branch leaves more or less similar, narrowly ovate, 1.50–1.90 mm × 0.50–0.65 mm, narrowly acute at apex; margins serrulate throughout; costae reaching 3/4 the leaf length; median leaf cells linear, 70–80 µm × 4–6 µm, with angled ends; basal cells lax, shorter, broader; alar cells moderately differentiated, shortly rectangular to hexagonal. Perichaetial leaves lanceolate. Setae 15–20 mm long; capsules inclined, ovoid, brownish; opercula curved-rostrate; exostome teeth triangular-lanceolate, papillosely cross-striolate below; endostome segments linear-lanceolate, nearly as long as the teeth, papillose; basal membrane high, ca. 1/2 the segment height; cilia 2, long. Spores ca. 12 µm in diameter, nearly smooth.
