Plants yellowish green or pale brown, not glossy. Secondary stems pinnately branched, with ascending branches 5–10 mm long, rarely to 20 mm long; a central strand absent; pendulous branches slender; flagelliform branches few, sometimes elongate; pseudoparaphyllia absent. Stem leaves lanceolate, 2.5–3.2 mm × 0.9–1.1 mm, concave, slightly plicate, gradually acuminate at the apex; margins plane, entire below, serrulate near the apex; median leaf cells linear-rhomboidal, 20–45 µm × ca. 5 µm, smooth; basal cells porose; alar cells quadrate, extending up to 1/4–1/3 the leaf length. Sporophytes not seen.
