Notes
:
This species is characterized by its puberulous to glabrescent habit; its petiolate, medium-sized, elliptic to elliptic-oblong, often rather stiff-textured and narrow leaves with domatia and the apex acute to acuminate; triangular, subentire to shortly bilobed stipules; its sessile, fasciculate, several-flowered inflorescences; its subsessile small flowers with yellow corollas; and its oblate, medium-sized fruits. Its specimens generally dry with a rather dark brown color. There seems to be some variation in inflorescence arrangement, which is characteristically sessile and fasciculate but shortly pedunculate inflorescences may also be produced on the same stems (e.g., Rakotomalaza et al. 1146).
