Notes
:
This species is characterized by its puberulous to pilosulous habit; its somewhat small, elliptic, thin-textured leaves with domatia and the apices rather obtuse; its ovate, entire to subentire stipules; its pedunculate, several-flowered, cymose inflorescences; its shortly but regularly pedicellate small flowers with a short calyx limb and medium-sized yellow corollas; and its medium-sized subglobose fruits. It was described based on two collections, and is not well characterized. This species seems to be similar to Psychotria tsarataranensis and Psychotria bathieana, with sessile flowers.
