Notes:
Subg. Coffea. This species is cultivated in the Kianjavato Coffee Research Centre, at ca. 400 m; these cultivated plants were collected from Andrambovato, the type locality, which apparently lies at ca. 800-1100 m. Coffea andrambovatensis was reported by Davis et al. (2006) as growing at ca. 400 m elevation, but that appears to be the cultivated plants not the wild plants.
