Notes:
This species is native to the Neotropics, but widely adventive and naturalized in warm regions world wide as an annual weed of open disturbed areas and other ruderal habitats. It has been collected infrequently in Madagascar but is no doubt widespread along roads and in towns, probably throughout the island.
