Notes:
The genus Grewia was being revised by Rene Capuron prior to his untimely death in 1971. An article treating the Section Axillares of Subgen. Grewia had already been published,and manuscripts for the 3 remaining were is various stages of preparation. David Mabberley, who had worked with Capuron, completed and published 2 additional groups of species (Subgen. Burretia and Subgen. Vincentia), but the third manuscript, that dealt with the rest of Subgen. Grewia, in which 45 species, 24 of which were new to science, were recognised, 24 of which were new to science, was far from complete.
