Notes:
The characteristic (diagnostic) abaxial punctations on the leaves seem to be the swollen bases of scabridulous trichomes. These punctations vary from well developed with minute trichomes (as in the type) to somewhat small with well developed trichomes, and it is not clear if these punctations are an artifact of drying. The leaves abaxially seem to vary continuously from scabridulous with punctations in this species, to scabridulous without punctations or strigillose in Bremeria hymenopogonoides; whether these species are distinct probably deserves further study.
